THERMAL METALLIZATION

The term metallization is used to define the sublimation and condensation (deposit) of a thin metal film on a substratum at a low pressure (vacuum) which allows the metal molecules move from an evaporation source to a surface to be treated without passing through air and other gas particles.
The most common industrial metallization version is the sublimation and deposit of an aluminum coat on a polymer object, generally prepared with a levelling and insulating previous primer treatment to increase the adhesion of the following metal coats and transparent finishes.

The coating of aluminum and other metals aim essentially to make the object be functional and beautiful. The finishing phase is extremely important because a protection against mechanical deterioration and oxidation of the metal layers is coated, and this is the last step of a coating cycle in which a heavy multi-strata layer is created.

UV METALLIZATION
The UV metallization process exceeds thermal metallization only in the beauty of the processed pieces, an essential element in cosmetics, which is the main field of application.
The pieces are metallized individually and, in the end of each step they are dried in a UV lamp in order to have a shinier and polished final effect. With UV metallization, the products are qualitatively higher than others that are produced with the traditional method.
The phases of UV metallization are basically the same of thermal metallization:
- Pre-metallization
- Metallization
- Post-metallization
